Dossier[]
A B-Rank American hunter who fights with poisoned arrows. Because she's a former convict, everyone gives her a wide berth. She participates in raids as a freelancer.
Dossier #01: Everyday Peace[]
Anna had no ill feelings towards them.
She'd simply gotten on the subway, arrived at the store, and gotten ready for work.
Just as she normally did.
She worked as much as she needed to and didn't pay attention to unnecessary commotion.
She worked at your average downtown fast food restaurant. Her days there were monotonous, but peaceful.
If it wasn't for that day, there wouldn't have been a ripple in the calm of her life.
She knew something was different. Normally, her manager never paid any attention, but that day, she was greeted with a sinister stare. Colleagues she'd never spoken to before snickered as they looked at her.
Not long after, the police came barreling in.
Anna lost her job and her normal life.
She was charged with theft.
The prison sentence was icing on the cake.
Dossier #02: Their Story[]
Anna was baffled. She didn't learn what she was being charged with until the police were already dragging her out. There wasn't even time for her to be outraged.
Anna learned what happened at the police station. Several real perpetrators had made her a scapegoat.
They conspired against her. Why? She couldn't conceive a reason. Had she said something wrong? Did they think she acted like she was special?
Confusion turned to anger, and from that anger, inner demons were born. They had carefully plotted to ruin her life.
If there was a bright side to this, well...
The charge wasn't severe, so she was only sentenced to a few years. She was worried about how much the world would have changed by the time she got out, but it was okay.
It was... whatever.
Once she was out of prison, she planned on never getting involved with any of them ever again.
But circumstances determined otherwise.
Magic beasts.
It was a story that would only be in a fantasy novel.
How much time had passed? The way the world had changed was an opportunity for her.
Dossier #03: The Price of Awakening[]
And she had an awakening.
When she shot arrows, the arrowheads would secrete poison, so she began to be called into various gates a probational prisoner.
One day, two days. Her prison sentence flew by while she risked her life in battle.
Though she had her freedom, there were few opportunities available to her. Still, she had one marketable skill, and it was very useful in this strange new world. She freelanced for a period of time, not affiliated with anyone.
Then, one day it happened.
A Dungeon Break. Anyone who was available was called. She had never experienced a Dungeon break before and was curious, so she headed to the marked spot immediately.
Dossier #04: Cold, Hard Revenge[]
It was the fast food restaurant that had turned her life upside down.
That was the center of the Dungeon Break.
Civilians were yelling and scrambling, and there were people who had seemingly already lost their lives. The hamburger wrappers she had once spent long hours wrapping were flying in the wind. It looked ridiculous.
Many hunters were already on location, but their powers weren't enough.
Just then, there was a loud roar. It was coming from the fast food restaurant.
Inside the fast food restaurant, people were trembling as they blockaded the door to keep the magic beasts out. There were some familiar faces. They were all flushed with fear.
None of them had recognized her yet. They looked up at her because she looked like a hunter. She was just someone they could trust. They believed that she was going to get them out of there alive.
She saw the hope in their eyes. After all they'd done? How shameless.
A deathly scream broke the silence. The magic beasts had breached the door. Anna stood back and watched as the beasts laid waste to the restaurant and the people who'd taken refuge there.
She smiled quietly to herself.
The way she felt towards them had never changed. Only the circumstances. She had no reason to feel anything resembling pity.
