Baek Yoonho is a playable Hunter in Solo Leveling: ARISE.

The guild master of the White Tiger Guild. Despite his intimidating appearance, he's a reasonable person. He doesn't want to show off his abilities.

Dossier #01: A Calling

No matter how hot the flame raged or how far they spread, the fire-fighting machine always returned alive.

"Fire-fighting machine." That was Beak Yoonho's nickname.

His especially large stature and fierce, almost beast-like complexion gave off the impression that he was built to never lose to any fire. It was no wonder why people thought of him as a born fire-fighting machine.

He even thought of himself as a born firefighter. He took pride in his work and didn't stop at anything to save people.

All of this changed, though, when the gates appeared. His entire life was turned upside-down.

He became one of the few chosen to become awakened beings.

Dossier #02: Another Me

On paper, his job didn't seem much different. Instead of charging into burning buildings to pull people out, he now charged into gates to close them before they could do any harm.

One day, he responded to a certain Dungeon Break. The moment he arrived at the scene, he threw himself at the beasts in front of him without a moment's hesitation. The gate was dangerously close to a kindergarten building with children still inside.

All of the children were crying. They were scared. None of them knew what was going on. None of them asked for any of this. Baek Yoonho pulled out every last ounce of strength for them.

And that was when he realized his hidden ability.

It was a Beast Form ability that allowed him to transform into a beast-like form and fight.

He used his newfound strength to take down the dungeon Boss and resolve the Dungeon Break, but what awaited him when he exited the dungeon were cries of terror and fear. One parent even snatched their child away from him and fled from the scene without a word of thanks.

Over time, he came to understand why. In his beast form, he was indistinguishable from the magic beasts that poured out from the gates. It was no wonder that they were terrified of him. But even if he understood, the rejection still ate away at him.

Dossier #03: Multifactored

During his second year of being a hunter, Korea finally adopted the USA's hunter ranking system, and Yoonho was evaluated as an S-Rank hunted- the highest rank possible.

His S-Rank rating changed people's perception of him overnight. They no longer looked at him in fear, but with pride.

During his third year of being a hunter. he joined the forces with Lim Tae-Gyu, who used his reputation as one of the earliest hunters to gather the other three S-Rank hunters to form Fiend, Korea's first major guild. Baek Yoonho, as one of Fiend's founding members, worked tirelessly to ensure that the guild succeeded.

Soon, however, he began to clash with Lim Tae-Gyu over the way the guild's profits were distributed. In the end, the two men couldn't come to an agreement, and Baek Yoonho left to form the White Tiger Guild.

It was smooth sailing for him after that.

White Tiger grew leaps and bounds. As its leader, Yoonho gained newfound fame. There was no one left that dared question his appearance, beast form or otherwise.

However, maybe it was because he already suffered so much due to his natural appearance and abilities that he didn't use his full Beast Form much after that.

In response, an urban legend began already surrounding Yoonho and magical threats in Korea. They say if Baek Yoonho ever appears fully transformed, that can only mean a tremendously powerful magic beasts is nearby, so it's time to run!

• Baek Yoonho's summon voice line is "You're lucky."
• His birthday is October 6th.
• In the localized Japanese version, Baek Yoonho's name is changed to Taiga Shirakawa (白川大虎).
