Dossier
The 9th S-Rank hunter in South Korea and the vice guild master of the Hunters Guild. She has the ability to detect mana power using her sense of smell.
Dossier #01: The Rising Star
Cha Hae-In.
She was a promising athlete in the track and field world who never stepped down from her spot in the middle of the podium.
She was consistently achieving new records, and thanks to a post on the internet with a video of her competing, she became famous, and even people who didn't know anything about track and field knew her name.
However, this attention was embarrassing for the young athlete, who was more interested in the challenge and records of the competition.
She didn't need anyone's attention to achieve victory.
It might actually work against her.
Dossier #02: Unwavering
Despite her disinterest, the public's attention on her lasted a long time.
Cha Hae-In was very uncomfortable with this.
It was a world where careless words and small mistakes could be easily shared. In addition, there were many cases where incidents that didn't happen started spreading as if they were true. Because of her eye-catching appearance, she became the subject of gossip with epole she had never met before.
That's not all. On one hand, she was rewarded with valuable victories based on pure enthusiasm and desire, and on the other hand, she was frequently criticized by an anonymous person despite her hard work and achievements.
However, Cha Hae-In wasn't swayed.
Her Unique competitive drive and tenacity gave her the momentum to move forward.
However, she sometimes made wrong choices because she didn't know when to stop.
Dossier #03: A Single Choice
It was when she was in middle school.
While competing in the first qualifying round of the National Student Track and Field Competition, which could have been her last competition, Cha Hae-In suffered an ankle injury.
"Should I go on?"
At a crossroads, she decide to finish the match. Thanks to this, she was able to participate in all her scheduled matches, but she wasn't able to achieve good results like she always did.
The ankle injury was more serious than she thought, requiring her to devote more than a year to recover.
In the end, Cha Hae-In, who failed to achieve notable results, retired from her career as an athlete, and only then was she forgotten by the public.
Dossier #04: Irreversible
Cha Hae-In had never dreamed of anything other than running, and always regretted what happened that day.
If she had made a different choice that day, then she could've run longer and farther.
As she watched younger athletes outrun her, Cha Hae-In felt a strong desire to run again.
However, due to the aftermath of her ankle injury, she was no longer able to run like she did before.
However, her inner fire never died, and that lingering desire eventually led her down a new track.
Dossier #05: Once Again
An empty field.
Cha Hae-In stood at the edge of the track and quietly closed her eyes, remembering a time when she ran to her heart's content.
There was a fleeting moment of silence when all her nerves were focused: ears, eyes, and legs.
When that signal flare had sounded when she was younger, her legs instinctively moved towards the finish line.
And when she reached the finish line, she could hear the cheers of those around her like a ringing in her ear.
The feeling of fulfillment when you've given it your all with no regrets.
The feeling of being alive.
Cha Hae-In slowly opened her eyes, crouched down, and corrected her stance. For some odd reason, she felt that she could pull off the perfect run now. An unknown energy rose from deep within her heart. It was a new feeling.
She ran forward with all her might.
When Cha Hae-In looked back, she saw a path she'd never seen before... depressed in the shape of her footprints.
Not long after, she learned that it was a sign of awakening. She still couldn't be an athlete... but now she could shine even brighter than she ever did before.
