The Demon King's Longsword is an SSR rank Player Weapon in Solo Leveling: ARISE. This longsword has the soul of a thunder spirit trapped inside. It can devour the soul of the person it serves, slowly using them as nourishment to power its abilities.
Appearance[]
A large, foreboding weapon with an icy, electrifying aesthetic. The blade has a sleek, metallic sheen, mostly steel-gray with dark, jagged lines running through it, crackling with vibrant blue energy. These glowing blue accents give the sword an ethereal, almost otherworldly appearance, suggesting it harnesses powerful elemental magic. The patterns of lightning seem to pulse and writhe across the blade’s surface, emphasizing its unstable and dangerous nature.
The hilt is equally intricate, featuring sharp, angular designs that flow seamlessly into the blade. It is dark and heavily fortified, with similar blue energy flickering through it. The handle is wrapped tightly for a firm grip, clearly designed for a warrior capable of controlling such immense, volatile energy.

After the failed rebellion against the Dragon King, the demons' position was never the same.
This is because the monarchs who participated in the rebellion became the hands and feet of the Dragon King, so ranking by power became meaningless.
In a situation where the second and third position were virtually vacant, there was no way the Monarch of Demonic Specters, who was in the position below that, would just sit by and watch.
As soon as the long war with the Rulers is over, they would immediately point their swords at each other's throats.
He had to preserve his troops and plan for the future, and to do that, he had to rise to a higher position and have a say in the war.
In order to preserve his troops and plan for the future, he had to be in a higher position.
However, even if the demons surrendered to the Dragon King, their power itself didn't change, so the demonic specters couldn't carry out their tasks easily.
All-out war was impossible, and attacking from behind could offend the Dragon King, so they had to be smarter.
In response to this, the Monarch of Demonic Specters decided to use elements of war.
The monarch was confident that with magic, they could fight against the demons and not get pushed back, and since most of the troops would be supporting the rearguard, it wouldn't be that difficult to intentionally make the battle situation worse.
As ordered by the Monarch of Transfiguration, they set it up as if it were a surprise attack by the rulers. The thunder spirit, Grouse, who managed to successfully rescue the demons who supported the rearguards together, won Baran's favor.
When he was thanked and was invited to have a meal, Grouse was confident that everything was going according to plan.
All that was left was to open the numerous gates prepared by the Monarch of Transfiguration and welcome the demonic specter soldiers.
No matter how powerful the demons were, they wouldn't be able to withstand the attack of armed soldiers without proper preparations.
Victory will fall into the hands of the Army of Transfiguration.
And it would be even better to keep the Dragon King in check.
Grouse, who was waiting for the right moment to escape Baran's gaze, finally got the chance to act freely. He calmly raised both hands and prepared to open the gate.
However, the moment Grouse released his power, the two statues standing on the castle wall threw out glowing ropes, binding his arms, and a huge longsword fell immediately from the air, piercing his body.
As his consciousness faded, Grouse looked up into Baran's glowing eyes.
Although he surrendered to the Dragon King, he showed off his overwhelming power to demonstrate his authority.
Despite the fact that his entire body was shaking, Grouse raised his hand and begged for one last request.
To not abandon him.
To help him complete his mission.
The crack that opened above Grouse's hand became a door.
It was a door that connected to the Monarch of Transfiguration.
However, despite Grouse's desperate wish, Yogumunt, who was watching the situation from across the gate, didn't offer his hand.
As he watched the gate getting smaller, Grouse felt disheartened and angry.
The unquenchable anger manifested itself as a strong electric current, pouring down on Grouse and the longsword that pierced his body.
Baran held the hilt of the sword that penetrated Grouse, despite the overwhelming power of the electricity that coursed through it.
The light flowing out of the sword enveloped the surrounding, and by the time things quieted down, Grouse had already disappeared.
Only the longsword in Baran's hand gave off a strange glow, as if it knew what had happened here.
After what happened that day, Baran always carried this longsword with him on the battlefield where he stood with the army of the phantom world.
This longsword, which emitted a powerful electric current every time it was swung, released a strange scream that seemed to cut through the air.
Whenever Yogumunt saw the power of the longsword, he would move his army behind the demons for some reason.
Among the soldiers, there was a rumor that Yogumunt was acting this way because he held Baran's strategy and power in high regard, but only the two monarchs knew the truth.
