The Gold-tailed Fox is an SSR rank Player Weapon in Solo Leveling: ARISE. A spear glowing with golden light that sparkles like a star. It contains the spirit of a rare Gold-tailed fox, and it grows stronger the closer the wielder and the fox become.

A small creature lay curled up in a ball in its snow-covered world, shimmering like the stars above as it stared off into the loneliness of space.
The creature was looked down and spotted a collection of strange-looking creatures that had gathered in groups of twos and threes, warming themselves up by the fire.
"Ahh... I feel better now."
"Red Gates that take you to a snowfield or desert are the worst. No matter where you turn, it all looks just the same. Plus, in a cold one like this, my hands freeze up and it's hard to move."
"It would be nice if we could get some Beast-type pelts to wrap around our shoul... Huh?"
As the man was rubbing his rosy nose and frost-bitten cheeks, he spotted a shiny bit of fur sticking out from behind a wooden pillar.
It was a lush golden tail that was swaying back and forth...
If memory served, this was definitely a legendary Gold-tailed Fox.
"Shh. Quiet, everyone. Over there."
"A- a Gold-tailed Fox...!"
"Let's catch it, wear it as a scarf until we can escape, then sell it and split money evenly..."
"Kyu?"
They carefully picked up their weapons to ambush it when...
...the Gold-tailed Fox fully came out of hiding and approached the group with short, quick steps.
The tiny footprints it left behind glittered gold like drops of paint on the pure white canvas of the snow.
It was so beautiful, the band started to let their weapons go slack in their hands.
One woman was a cat-owner and had a bit of jerky in her pocket that she had been saving. She gingerly took it out.
"Nice fox... Come here."
"I- it's still a magic beast... and we can sell it at a high price!"
"But we can't kill something so cute!"
"Still..."
"It's almost the end of the year. Let's choose mercy, just this once."
"...Do as you please."
After the disgruntled man gave up, the woman cautiously held out the jerky.
Ears perked up, the Gold-tailed Fox tilted its head and crept closer to the jerky.
It took a bite.
The group cheered with glee.
Although the Gold-tailed Fox didn't understand their vocalizations, she liked how the jerky tasted, so she decided to stick around and learn about them.
She jumped onto the shoulders of the person who seemed to have the best shoulders to climb on and positioned herself so that she was wrapped around the person's neck.
"W- wait... why is it...?"
"Oh my... it looks like she likes you. I'm jealous. You've been chosen."
"I'm grateful she's keeping me warm... but doesn't seem smart to trust a person who almost killed her..."
The man spoke with a dismissive tone at first, but over the course of the journey, his face gradually softened.
The Gold-tailed Fox liked the man so much that she nearly always slept in his arms.
The man also gradually grew fond of her, and took care of the fox by giving her half of his food.
Their relationship grew stronger and stronger until their journey came to an end.
As she sat in his arms, the man patted the Gold-tailed Fox's head and placed a pouch containing his remaining jerky in front of her.
"Hey. Don't get eaten by other magic beasts."
"Kyuu..."
"And you shouldn't go around walking up to people that aren't us."
"Kyu!"
"And I don't know if you guys celebrate any holidays, but eat lots of delicious food and, um... enjoy the holidays."
The man turned around and started walking towards the gate.
Looking between the pouch and the man as he walked away, the Gold-tailed Fox began to feel lonely and cried out. The man stopped walking for just a moment, then started to leave again.
Although they couldn't communicate and had only recently met, there was such warmth while they were together...
And once he passed through that door, he'd never see his new friend again...
And the fox would spend her days looking up at the night sky all alone once more.
"Kyuu..."
The Gold-tailed Fox made up her mind. She raised her head and ran towards the man.
Just like always, she jumped on the man's shoulder and shared her warmth with him.
"Do you... want to go with me?"
"Kyuu..."
"But I don't think magic beasts can leave a dungeon after the boss dies..."
"Kyuu...!"
As if telling him not to worry, the Gold-tailed Fox's body started to glow as she let out a cheerful cry.
She became pure light, which scattered like clusters of beautiful stars as it flew into the man's weapon.
"N- no way..."
The startled man looked down at his weapon.
The once crude and ugly spear had transformed into a warm and beautiful golden spear.
With a start, the man realized that the Gold-tailed Fox had become a part of the spear.
It had given up physical form to stay with him.
"Why would you do this... for a jerk like me...?"
The man sobbed as he carefully ran his hand along the spear's newly-gilded surface.
Then he heard an echo that had no source: the Gold-tailed Fox's "Kyuu."
"Okay... let's get out of this place together. What do you say?"
The man exited the gate while holding the spear in his arms as if he was holding the Gold-tailed Fox.
The world outside the gate was just as coated in white as the world inside.
It looked just like the night the Gold-tailed Fox and the man had first met.
